


Beginning Tap (Ages 4-7) 8 week series, Tuesdays from 2:00-2:45
Limited space available! Sign up today for Julian Junior Theater’s first beginning tap class for little ones. In this 8 week series class dancers will learn the basics of tap, the different sounds their tap shoes can make, and how to put those sounds together to make music. Students will also prepare for a simple performance at the end of their 8 week class.

Julian Junior Theater is delighted to welcome Mikah Ramirez to teach tap in Julian. Mikah has been dancing since she was 2 years old. She studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and character at Ramona/Julian Academy of Dance, now known as RJAD. She went on to compete and perform with the Academy and also performed in Ramona High School's Dance Productions. Now an instructor at RJAD, she teaches Preschool Creative Movement, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, and Competitive Dance. She studied at Grossmont College, earning an A.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences and Dance. During her time at the college, she furthered her studies in various areas of dance, such as Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Choreographic studies, Improvisation, and more. She was a Grossmont College Touring Dance Company member and danced with other local professional and pre-professional tap companies, such as California Rhythm Project. She most recently earned California Teaching Credentials and a B.A. in Integrated Studies with an Emphasis in Education from Point Loma Nazarene University. She is currently a member of DrumatiX, a tap and creative percussion company, and is working toward an M.A. in Dance Education at the University of Northern Colorado. T
